Article 2 Response

The first story I read was Good Travel. It was about the way people see the world and how you should travel responsibly. If I didn't have to worry about money ever again, I  would definitely love to just set out and travel the world. The video I watched talked about how when you travel you need to remember to be respectful to people and their culture. Your travel destination is not just for fun, it is someones home and you should should treat it as you would want your home to be treated. I hadn't really put much thought into that, but now I will. The winner who created this idea wanted traveling not to just be about the site seeing, she wanted it to be more than that. She wanted the people who traveled to think of it more along the lines of giving back to the communities you visit.

The second story I read was Sanitation Creations . This story caught my eye instantly. I have always been a freak when it comes to germs. I hate when people don't wash their hands after the bathroom or are just gross in general. I hate germs. The winner of this one was, Liz Morris. The idea he had was a way to innovate the common port-a-potty. Instead of having an open hole where you can visibly see everyone else's bowel. The invention they came up with was called the Dungaroo. Each person when using the Dungaroo does their business in a bag that is then flushed and replaced with a new bag. This decreases the spread of germs by a lot. Dungaroo's bags can then be used as energy. Another great part of this invention was that it requires no water, so in countries with  short water supply, will have one less thing to worry about.

The third and final story I read was Art to Aid. Art to Aid was an idea given by two guys who hoped to create an online market of creative art that can be sold and bought while keeping the creative minds doing the most good they can. They believe that everyone is very creative and should all deserve a chance to show that side of themselves. This story really sparked my interest because I love to draw and doodle and just create strange things. I would never have thought of something like an online market to track my works and goals and how they have impacted others. This site could really give people the courage and motivation they need in life. The site, with the right kinds of people could really take off and have a positive impact on many lives.
